A Wicked Ride – Official Trailer – Grass Roots of New England BMX Freestyle!

Pretty psyched on this one. I grew up sharing ‘zines with Kieran Chapman, Radazine and later on Wire that heavily documented the vibrant scene of New England, and from the looks of this documentary trailer it was and is a lot more than that! This is going to be great!!!

  1. I don´t know about all of America, but the New England scene had a huge effect on the way I think about a lot of things. Mikel Miller moved to my hometown in Missouri when i was like 12 and I had never seen rolling tricks before. Also the Wire zines and videos taught me so much about good music.. First time I ever heard black flag was on a wire video. Who is the dude in all black in the Wire Video. I remember him doing a fucktruck in the video.

  2. Grew up riding in the New England scene as well for several years before moving back out to Missouri in the late 80’s. NE was a great scene – could have been the best in the U.S. that no one had heard about.

Morgann – I’m assuming you are referring to Mike Miller? We connected by chance (Both being in Missouri) after I left New England. Rode once in a mall parking lot and we corresponded a few times – but never rode again. I have scene him in several New England edits recently. Excited to watch this doc!
