Brian Tunney – Austin, Texas 2016

Stoked today to come across a fresh new edit out of Brian Tunney, here’s what Brian had to say:

“In January of 2015, I moved to Austin, Texas from Redondo Beach, California and decided that I should eventually get around to filming a new video. My dear friend Stew Johnson volunteered his time and effort and skills, and together, slowly but surely, we amassed enough footage to put together something I was happy with. I then DM’d Patrick Kindlon of Self Defense Family to see if we could make sweet, beautiful love together (I.E. use their song) and he said 100% use it. With help from a clip filmed by Robin Fenlon in Newport Beach, we spent the day after Thanksgiving 2016 sitting in Stew’s office and came up with the following. I owe dear thanks to so many people for pushing me to keep going on this bizarre BMX journey for over 30 years now, and this is dedicated to each and every one of them. Thanks for watching a 42-year-old no one…”

  1. That video makes me stoked on riding. Great music. Great filming. Love the background sounds of the natural environment coming through the music. More please!

  2. One thing that always seems to come through to me in Brian’s riding is that he really always appears to be riding for the pure pleasure of it–and that’s refreshing. Like you don’t see him fretting about needing to drop the latest trendiest stuff ever. You just get solid riding from someone who is committed to riding for the long term and doing what he wants to do. I respect that. I think that we could all benefit from remembering to just ride for the enjoyment of it sometimes. That all tricks can be enjoyable to do in whatever sequence we desire to do them in..

  3. Any day with new Tunney footage is a good day.

Like Brandon said, Brian doesn’t feel the need to bother with the trends, and he always seems happy to be doing his thing.

Also, make/model on those gym shorts? (am serious)
