As Christmas draws closer Giannis Caternellis just sent in a fresh new edit inspired by the interviews we did over the last month, here’s what he had to say:
“I am not afraid to talk about originality, it’s not a taboo subject. Originality sometimes comes naturally, other times you have to work hard. It doesn’t matter, the result is the same. I am not any special rider, I’ve said it before, I am only a soldier of flatland and the last interview I did with Effraim I searched deep and I mean really deep to my soul to find why I started flatland, why I continue and why is so important to me…
Flatland is a part of me, it;s in my blood. It’s not about if I love or hate flatland. I am flatland. That’s it. The message I want to send to all flatlanders around the world is that don’t be afraid to be different.”

Great to see you have continued progressing with more body roll varials.
Apart from the Vander Roll from the 1980s there are not that many body varial tricks. It definitely is an under developed area of flatland to expand on.
Also, great to see you crumpling up the haters words.
Keep progressing infinitely regardless of what anyone else says or thinks.

I can watch this kind of riding all day. True freestyle. Actual tricks being done (switches) rather than the boring cookie cutter cloning being done by the majority. The thought that goes into doing this type of riding takes a strong open mind. So much props to you Giannis!

DAMN IM SO STOKED on Giannis , when I RECOGNIZED the song , INSTANT STOKE / FIST CLINCHED / HYPED as F——-K , ONE of my FAVS by MASSIVE ATTACK , SETS THE MOOD times 7 !!!!! THEN the COMBOS……………HALF WAY through this edit my hands were SHAKING / KEPT saying SHOUTING out loud , SO MUCH , my mom taught something had gone / was wrong !!!! THE WHOLE VIBE of this edit ……….BEING ORIGINAL………..WITHOUT apology/ explanation / regard …………..I HAD to PAUSE HALFWAY through this edit ………..the RIDING / VIBE / FEEL ………….
MAN THIS ALL had my blood BOILING , in a GOOD way !!! ORIGINALITY / BIKE MASTERY / NO RULES , BOUNDARIES , OR LIMITS when it comes down to TECHNIQUES , VARIATIONS , ETC , ETC !!! DAMN I’m gald GIANNIS picked up a BIKE , back in 92 !!!! He IS FLATLAND in EVERY aspect ……..including the ESSENCE of it……………ORIGINALITY !!!!!!!
