Johann Chan – 1 minute 46 seconds of an almost perfect life

1 minute 46 seconds of an almost perfect life from emer bmx on Vimeo.

“After spending alot of time showcasing and filming others, it was a pub conversation with Dave Beveridge last year at King of Southsea which inspired this edit. In short, he suggested that all the fluff – like interviewing and photographing other people – almost misses the point, and the true essence of BMX was in riding and putting yourself out there. We’re under no illusions of being the next Dandois, Beckmann or Foakes but ‘My mate Dave in the pub’ is a wise man! So here you go, dedicated to Dave, my friends and family: problems aside, and crashes edited out, here’s 1 minute 46 seconds of an almost perfect life.”

  1. Awesome. Johann is such a smooth rider and a rad dude. I really like how this was edited, and I think it totally captures what he’s described. Good work.

  2. Thanks Trevor- pay you later!
Do you remember that evening? Followed with us sitting in the park at Southsea, watching a band, then Flatmatters riding on the grass!

  3. fuggin legs on that……that’s better than a spinning wheel or grass blowing in the wind or someother arty film filling crap before the riding.Nice riding chan……………….the other edit hate is seeing someone eating his breakfast before going riding
