“Here we go !
This summer, I met Kevin at his GF’s home in Avignon, south of France. We planned to make this edit few months ago, following Joris Bretagnolles’s video for his sponsor. This August month was the perfect moment in the year to make it real, since it was sooo sunny and hot, perhaps a little bit too… But it’s an other story, which I will not explain here.
About six month ago, Kevin called me to know if we could work together. Of course it was a big yes for me to do new things, and it’s allways a pleasure to make videos. As I said it earlier, we filmed it in Avignon. But I didn’t tell you how long it was, and how difficult. So let’s do it ! We had lot of pressure, ’cause time was not our friend. I’m right talking about the clock, who makes *tic toc tic toc*. We only had two complete days to film, and that was in our heads the whole time. Then, as I said it upper, the other probleme was the weather, but not the rain. Where we were, they was sooooo hot, around 35-40 degrees in sun. I don’t really know how Kevin rode his bike, since I, (just) by holding the camera, was soaked of sweat.
So we filmed from 8:30 am to 11 am (yeah, you’re right, we slept 4 hours per night…) and from 5 pm to 9 pm. During the hot period, we had our “chill period”, which was not very chill. In fact, we worked on the scenario, which I will talk you yet.
The scenario was also, in my opinion, a “probleme”, but very very very little one. When he wrote it, I red it first but didn’t understand all he wrote. For me, it was too difficult to understand, firstelly, and to make for me, as well. So we reworked it so that he is easyer and cooler.
So, here I wrote the story of this edit, and I hope when you read this, you’re not sleeping… (zZzZzzZz…)

This is what happens when you spend more time on being fancy with filming and production then the actual riding.
Who cares if you only slept 4 hours? Who cares if you had to re-upload your video to vimeo 7 times? And who cares how long it took you to film that?Or how long he had to ride? Or how it was?
Stop telling us a sobstory about all your hardships.
You went through an unnecessary amount of effort to make this. and end up with something pretty mediocre. You could have spent this much effort on a better rider like Dominik or Zebu or Adam.
No one told you to only sleep 4 hours. there was no deadline. No one was waiting for this edit to be released. I can do almost all those tricks and film it in less then an hour.
And no one wanted to see your excrutiatingly boring daily routine. Just stick to the riding next time.
Nice production work but your storyboard was all over he place.
When I read those comments, I really think there is something wrong with you. If you dislike it, no problem, but you can say it differently. Moreover, I don’t forced you to read the text attached, it’s only a wink to the shooting and what happens during these days together.

I think, Flatland isn’t only Tricks or Link.
It’s very important to progress and to push up our limit but… Flatland is an ART, we can do A LOT OF THING with this freestyle atmosphere !
Making video with different style (story, lifestyle…) can help the people to discover our sport, our art.
I agree, a lot of rider are better, but I don’t think that two friends like Valentin and Me can’t work together only because I don’t have the level of a world champion or because Valentin don’t have the experience of a guy like Sevisual…
In this video I just wanted to show another part of Flatland, a kind of humour, a kind of my thinking when i’m riding…
You can enjoy, you can dislike it, you can tell to everyone “This guy is really stupid to do video like that”, but this kind of attitude are destroying flatland…
