Must Watch! Jean William Prevost / Puro Flat #1: Winter

PURO FLAT #1 : WINTER from IGI BMX on Vimeo.

When Jean William Prevost titles a video “Puro Flat”, I am already intrigued as I hit the play button. The title implied to me that this would feature lines that Dub does not do in contests, would it live up to the hype that I have just built up in my head from the title?

“The PURO FLAT 2018 Series is my intention to stay true to the artform that comes through Flatland before simplification for competitions and all other forms of it may it be shows or whichever…this is just me and the camera for the sake of the artform!!!”

My immediate thought without even reading Dub’s description wasn’t far enough, and of course you have seen the Must Watch title so you already know this is a belter!
When a rider such as Jean William Prevost is at the top of his game its a beautiful thing for him to share with us all what he is capable of away from the contest light.

And boy does he deliver, I am on my third watch already before I start highlighting what I love about this edit.

1:06: I am hitting the rewind on this one, short and so hard and never been done! flip to gliding gerator or lard yard whatever you care to call it two footed rolling undertaker out. The execution!!!

1:12: The development of the spinning inside switch undertaker now into a line is just ridiculous. Wait for the ride out, total bike mastery. This might be a contender for line of the year already??

3:11: Multiple antrider turbines direct to the spinning switch b spinning undertaker to backwards wheelie, and the part i loved the most. Showing the realness, just kicks off the wall. So raw and uncut, personally loved that he chose to show that.

3:22: The last two rodeo lines are just absolutely out of this world, ok this might be the line of the year also. What the hell!

Like I already said it’s an amazing thing to see riders at the top of their game share the behind the scenes stuff they are working on. Everyone needs to watch this! Top marks, and another contender for edit of the year and it’s only April! Let’s talk about this one in the comments section….

  1. I was riveted start to finish. The speed, style and flow you are pursuing in artwork at its finest. Flow, tech, almost no skuffing, rolling undertakers mid combos…
Speechless. Can’t wait for part 2!

  2. Holy shit that was amazing. Watching him put together links like that is like watching a painter make a masterpiece. There is so much flow, and it’s evident he’s intentionally put things together, with rhythm and flow. Much respect to Dub.

    • Thanks brother , your every edit has me mindboggled, we speak two different flatland languages its crazy how the dialects may differ!!!

  3. The Tramp Stamp is Fire!
Those Last 2 Combos was Dynomite!
Mad Flow from the Get Go!
Oi Oi Oi Dub the Don Mega!

  4. As Pete said, Dub really is the best rider in the game right now. These tricks, this pace and combo length are completely different to what Dub does in a contest.

  5. I watched THIS multiple times OVER yesterday , F-KN mental to say the least , the combos flow SO fast / fluid ……….my eyes could BARELY keep up , while my mind was literally TRYING to understand / process ………EXACTLY what was being nailed throughout ………..EACH link !! DAMN Dub , talk about PUSHING / ELEVATING the ART !! I STILL have to view this multiple times MORE to KEEP taking it ALL in !! Really RAD seeing a rider at the TOP ……………….CONTINUE to KEEP pushing his level ……..STILL hungry for ……….PROGRESSION / INNOVATION within HIMSELF / THE SPORT !!!!

  6. Incredible riding, its amazing that you have that riding spot in your home. The dedication to push it every day really shows by the fluidity and speed of your riding.

  7. Take the top pros from any decade, the 90’s, 2000, 2010, hell, probably even 2020, sit them down to watch this and they would likely think that Dub is an alien from some advanced flatland civilization in a dimension where people control things with their minds alone.

We are in the Dub era of flatland.

  8. I have watched this at least 5 times and can’t get over how effortless he makes this all look. The body positioning alone seems so to difficult to get into and maintain and yet, he is able to make it all seem so fluid and natural. Maybe it’s my old age talking, but making the physically demanding look so seamless and to have it flow like that, is really, really impressive. I know some people frown on the dancing comparisons, but it really does bring to mind that level of artistry (I mean this in the most complimentary sense).
