Must Watch – Matthias Dandois / The Flat Side of Things 2

MD

I’ve been waiting for the no handed spinning half packer jaffa whip to halfpacker for a couple of years out of Matthias Dandois (ref: TCU Calling the shots with Terry Adams and Matthias Dandois 2014) and he delivers right here, plus a whole lot more! Enjoy the latest progression from Matthias filmed in Paris, France and Japan!

  1. Some serious hot fire in this edit… easy to take Matthias for granted because of all the riders that have been influenced by his style for almost a decade now, but the guy will always be the real deal who’s a step ahead of his clones.

      • I think this has added weight because a friend has recently convinced me (for the moment) that it takes one to truly spot one. Long story short, great has a more nuanced view of and ability to recognize great. Not that they appreciate it more, just that they are better prepared to locate and spot it. That’s why, despite all of the hate I’ve read about Marty K. killing it lately, you will notice that a ton of great riders recognize what he is doing as pure gold.

        • The arguments about Martti’s recent placings is weird for me because I have no problem looking at his runs and realizing how crazy they are, while others might see them as really basic looking and then be confused on how he beat someone doing a lot of turbine linked runs. He’s beating folks on pure difficulty and originality right now… which actually isn’t too different from what he was doing to everyone back in the late 90’s early 00’s. =)

  2. What a progressive edit ! So good to see 4 minutes of new stuff by Mathias !

Mathias, if you read this, I have a request : multiple turbines manual, it’s so sick no one ever digged this (as far as I know) and no one seems to be closer from it than you are.

    Congrats, that was dope !

  3. Well done, a real flatland edit, with fixed camera positions and progressive tricks. Recording these obviously took more time than the usual jibs and competition combos. Hope to see more of these.

  4. Love the backwards turbines. Great riding and Canada stands united with France during these trying times. Good will always triumph over evil.
