Ironic that this week I just tried to order a new Nankai freecoaster from Flatland Fuel and discovered Nankai are in hiatus. Mr. Nankai retired and his son is taking over the company. Production is moving to a new location, theres no ETA on new Nankai hubs. There really isn’t much choice in the flatland market thats reliable. However, this NYB stuff looks interesting.

I’m very upset by this, as Nankai was the first reliable freecoaster on the market for flat riders and really still is. I hope NYB can pick up where Nankai left off.
@Robpossible – bummed too… hopefully Mr nankai’s son takes up the business sooner rather than later….
I saw the owner of nankai at interbike last year. They had a sealed bearing model of the freecoaster. It looked very nice
NYB is the new nankai….
