This weeks first part of OSS is with the General Freestyle Team show from 1987 with R.L. Osborn, Todd Anderson, and Pete Kearney, with Ceppie Maes announcing. Enjoy this bit of nostalgia.

  1. Great stuff from the archives i still have my “General Stompin the States video” from 87, i expect i’m the only person to comment here doubt if anybody else knows who these guys or who General are, R L Osborn ultimate showman.

  2. I totally remember the Stompin the States video. I grew up in New Jersey so General Bicycles was everywhere! I had a Fred Blood Pro. I used to love those JT bonehead uniforms. I wonder what Brian Belcher is doing these days…

  3. cool Rich thats rad to hear i loved those frames never could get them here in the UK ,Brian Belcher i know he rode with Moliterno and Mccoy out of Kansas way back when maybe he rides still.

  4. My dad was the Sr. VP of General. General was in East Rutherford, a big warehouse-type building with an office near the tracks. 50 Oak Street, East Rutherford. I remember that trailer they used in the video. Eventually the company bought them the big truck you saw in the “Stompin’ the States” video and a killer trailer with a small office in it). If anyone still has the video, I’d love a copy; I had old VHS demos of it years ago but most of that stuff is long gone now and I’m not even in Jersey anymore. Great memories.
