When you think that people sweat over Rolaids now in 2018, me included. It’s amazing to think that Derek Schott was throwing them clean in his runs (second attempt) in 1987. This weeks OSS is dedicated to the man that invented the trick. Respect!

Great run on that super dusty floor. Pushing boundaries!
AFA-hierarchy killer. The pros that got all the magazine coverage were supposed to be the best riders. This kid was throwing down runs that were clearly better than all but 1 or 2 pros. By 88 half the amateurs were better than the pros with Gerry Smith leading the charge.
Derek was incredible. He showed up to watch the AFA Orlando round in 2016. I also agree that Gerry was the dude by 88. I still talk about his October 88 run at one of our local AFA comps. Melted brains and had kids so freaked out.
Wow! This was 1987? Backyards and Rolaids! Geez.
