Red Bull Circle of Balance Press Release

Sixteen top riders from 13 different coutries are competing at the Red Bull Circle of Balance in the Kyoto International Center on September 8th, 2012. Tickets are sold out, but a few tickets will be on sale at the venue on the day of the event. We are expecting to have 1,200 spectators at the event. The very first Red Bull Circle of Balance was held in 2002 at Oberhausen, Germany with 18 top riders from all over the world. Its 1-on-1 format introduced a new style of battle and raised the bar in terms of what a top competition should look like. The high production standards and magnitude of the event immediately brought the Red Bull Circle of Balance to the forefront of top BMX-Flatland competitions and put it on the map internationally. Japanese rider Ryoji Yamamoto took first place in Oberhausen in 2004 and with Japan subsequently hosting the 2007 event, this further demonstrated Japan’s commitment to the scene. Japanese riders are known for their high level of riding and technical prowess. With the largest BMX-Flatland scene in the world, Japan will once again host the Red Bull Circle of Balance and aims to bring forth a new set of innovations to continue developing the sport. This year’s Red Bull Circle of Balance will be very unique in terms of the battle style. On the 1-on-1 battle, each rider will have two and half minutes to show off their style and tricks. At the final, 4 riders must compete in a 10-minute jam session. For more information, please visit www.redbullcircleofbalance.com/en
