The finals day at the UCI World Championships was a great day for flatland. The day started with Women’s flat and four riders knuckled down and give it their all, Irina Sadovnik was battling a knee injury and with the help of Trish and her medical skills she was able to ride. Sometimes when you are faced with a physical obstacle such as an injury your focus is heightened. The injuries were stacking up in China and kind of became one of the main topics of everyones discussions during the two week trip.
Lionel Cardoso on the MIC duties, and David on the decks. props to these guys who killed it throughout the series and the two weeks in China!
June got off to a banger with Quentin Pelorson’s Seeking Part 3 edit on June 2nd. From the opening downside whiplash pedal 5 stepped beautifully into x-ft halfpacker, this edit really caught my attention. Quite possibly my favourite line is at the 1:13 mark, I’ve already rewinded this part twice to work out what happened, I could go on and on here.
Rad video and a nice description to boot, you know what to do!
“The traveler’s bug caught our bandwagon crew in the sails and the winds favored our descent upon Bordeaux, France for this short reunion episode with the three mosqueteers of Flatland ; Taku, Ben and Dub unite once again in this edit to reinforce our friendships. We were there for 2 nights of which we spent laughing and enjoying speaking of our trip with Dub’s cousin in Bordeaux. ENJOY!!!”

When I was at Bike Days in Switzerland one month ago I was invited to also to judge Round 2 of the 2015 World Circuit in Barcelona. BCN is one of my favourite cities in the world, that hold many memories from when I competed in the Euro XGames and so on so it’s pretty much a no brainer for me. The flight from London is also only one hour 45 minutes so it’s nothing at all. And even better it was my girlfriends birthday on the Wednesday, so we stayed a lil’ extra few days and made a holiday out of it after the contest.
