Finally some footage coming out from the Japan Cup last weekend, I’ve had a lot of DM’s and requests for footage from the event. For all of those that asked, this is for you. Lots of great riding from the likes of Takumi Isogai, Fumiya Kanna, Masato Ito, and Moto Sasaki.
Back in August of last year, Paulo Gepulango got the chance to go to Japan for his wife’s birthday! Paulo of course, managed to visit plenty of riders and experience some different scenes around Kobe, and Osaka. Featuring Keisuke Tanigawa, Shinichi Kiba, Tomokazu Morinaga, Fumiya Sasagawa, Fumiya Wakabayashi, Eri Funatsu, Jumpei Goto, Takumi Isogai,
Masato Ito, Takuzi Izumi, Satoshi Ojima, Jun Oni Katayama, Giichi ikeda, Kota Ikeda, Jigen Omotehara, Yoshio Makino and many more. Scene edits are awesome, good one to watch when you have the time….
It may be three years old, but the Voodoo Pre Jam 2017 edit by Erik Otto that has just been published is well worth your attention. Featuring the likes of Matthias Dandois, Yu Katagiri, Alex Jumelin, Masato Ito, Yohei Uchino, Ahmed Johnson, Travis Collier, and more shredding at the Pre jam.
Small edit from the Fight the Winter 2020 Jam Day, featuring Jorrit Van Drumpt, Masato Ito, Gino Stuart and Nico Bergmann. Filmed with iPhone 5S edit by DasOwaL
I am sure I write this every time I review a video, I feel it’s important to say it without trying to sound like a broken record. It really is a brave move to make an online video these days, especially if you are charging for it online. It’s quite common in skateboarding, but hasn’t filtered over to flatland really.
Landscapes 3 comes in at 1 hour 12 minutes long, I can’t even imagine how much working time that is for the creator, Stewart Munro putting all the pieces together, selecting riders going back and forth with riders gathering footage, picking the music to fit each rider, the list goes on.
Landscapes 3 is available to download right now (link below), full length flatland videos are a rarity these days. Today is a good day, props to Stewart Munro for making this happen yet again. Look out for a review shortly.
“Landscapes 3 is a new full-length video showcasing some of the best flatlanders from around the world featuring Aaron Frost, Chris Vasileiou, Erin Fricke, Keelan Phillips, Keita Uchino, Kio Hayakawa, Masato Ito, Mates Tuček, Mateus Beckmann, Nick Watts, Steven Hearn, Varo Hernandez, Shinichi Kib, Thomas Deschenaux, and Simon O’Brien.”
Omari Cato sent this one in, low on views and definitely needs more love. As we all know the Japanese scene rules, quality riding from the likes of Benjamin Hudson, Dez Maarsen, Joel Schallhorn, Masato Ito, Takumi Isogai and many more at the Spaceark Jam in Kobe, Japan.
Today we have a Must Watch treat from Simon O’Brien and Stewart Munro, thanks Stewart for this exclusive!

Today I made the trip from Southsea to Kortrijk in Belgium via the Eurostar out of St.Pancras, London. I arranged with contest organiser, Barre Neirynck to be picked up in Lille, France which was just hour and half from London. Dez Maarsen kindly picked me up and drove me direct to the event.
Congratulations to Matthias Dandois who qualified 1st at the Bike Days contest in Solothurn, Switzerland with another flawless performance. Did you know Matthias has not touched in a contest so far this year, that is incredible! Matthias was followed by Jean William Prevost and Masato Ito in the top three, followed by Dominik Nekolny, Francisco Lima from Brazil, Dustyn Alt, Chris Bohm, Minato Sato, Didier Genet, and Oleg Efimov. Live scoring this year at the Bike days. Finals tomorrow at 3pm.
