I’m not sure I understand this… is it just basically a coaster brake, except it doesn’t “brake”?
@Tim – Yes, stand on the pedals and stays still when your rolling backwards. Hence the name.
Hi Tim,
On the website http://www.alex.worden.net/Strollercoaster.html I have a quick description of it in the “About” page.
In the next couple days I will be issuing an FAQ fairly soon to go over all the questions I have received.
Thanks again Effraim for the platform of Flatmatters!

I can imagine this would be a bitch to get used to, setting your pedals would become a trick in itself, maybe the “gap” is adjustable?
Surely if the freecoaster engaged by accident the backwheel would also lock? That could be extremely dangerous if you are doing something on the backwheel.

Thought the same Pete. It’s something new and interesting looking though. Not for me, but there’s definitely new possibilities associated with it. Pretty rad. A solid base to pump or pivot from.
Thank you all for your questions and positive feedback. As promised here are some of the questions we compiled over the last couple weeks. If in the coming weeks there are more questions, we can issue another FAQ. Thank you all for the enthusiasm and support.
