Throwback Thursdays with MK Moments

This is still one of my favourite DVD’s to watch, and now of course its available online! There are so many lost techniques and untouched combos in this solo edit from 2004, this is a must watch! Never gets old!

  1. I love seeing videos where a rider is doing tricks. It seems like Martti explored all types of flows and switches from any angle. It’s not cookie cutter, pump, pump, pump, jump over, this trick goes to this trick every time, yet he still stays consistent. In my opinion, that’s true freestyle.

  2. Such an inspiration for me personally. Martti pushed me in so many ways and still does today. Total master of Flatland none better.

Can’t wait to see him at COB in Japan.

    • I wonder how much of this stuff goes over peoples heads. I don’t even know where to start really, theres so many bangers, maybe it is lost. Just watched the KGB video and like this, its banger after banger! So good! Like Scott said an inspiration to so many.

  3. just like fashion, riding styles and trick trends probably go through cycles, and MK style and lost innovation will surely be the heart of a next cycle to come, i don’t think it is lost forever. riders will look back to this at some point.

  4. I have lived through all of the progressions of BMX Flatland.
It is my opinion with all due respect to the others that what Martti has done is hands down the greatest ever in Flatland BMX. Not only did he do it in videos but he did it in contest as well.

Big Ups to Martti and I love that he is judging at COB. Still giving back!

Much respect to all those who pushed Flatland.

    • Haven’t heard that, I heard from the boss himself he did a few tricks, whilst Bert is in town filming with Aleksi. I don’t think he is “riding again. Hopefully he does again soon tho!
