Cali, cali, cali!! These guys live the dream here, and whilst I’m here i’ve been sessioning as much as possible, yesterdays studio city jam ruled, 30 riders (possibly few more) hit up the infamous the infamous studio city lot for fun times in the 75F weather. It was the perfect day. Great mix of old school riders, new generation (Jowii learnt pedal time machines yesterday for example), out of towners and of course the Cali locals. Good times!
Ryan Russell can nose manual real good!
Chillin’ with Chad J, good times!

Lil edit of some of the riding from yesterdays awesome jam in So-Cal!
Travis Collier and Gabe Kadmiri are in town for the jam session this weekend, its funny cause everyday has felt like a jam, with a ton of different riders in and out of LA during my trip. Today there were 12 riders at the Studio City lot, pockets of sessions going all afternoon, it was super windy today, I shot a few videos which i’ll post when im back in the UK. Hopefully that wind calms down for tommorow’s jam, California is most definitely going off at the mo. Enjoy the photos from today!
I’m pretty psyched on this shot of Travis sliding across the Studio city parking lot.
After the session we headed to In and Out Burger just down the road. A good end to a great day in So.Cal.
It wouldn’t be right to be in Hollywood without Hollywood Steve up in here, halfpacker stubbleduck.
I’m now into week 2 of my Cali trip.Yesterday myself and Bobby Carter hit up the local riding spot, Studio City for an afternoon flatland session, my ankle was aching a lil bit from riding so hard on this trip, so I tried a new shoe just see if that would help and support a lil better, my old show was kinda worn, and it did seem to relieve a lil’ pain. The session was awesome, really good vibe, Bill Freeman the inventor of the cliffhanger showed up, along with the One love crew Shayne and Darin, Hollywood Steve, and Sean Fontenot (who has been at a whole bunch of the sessions whilst I’ve been here)… It must have rained over night as there were a few puddles around, but they quickly dried up and the session was super fun, theres a jam on Saturday at Studio City so i’ll shoot some video there (and post when I get home tuesday onwards. I am loving California!!

Skills to pay the bills, I asked Bill Freeman to do a guillotine for the blog, and he combo’ed right into forward death truck so clean, Bill is awesome!
Yesterday was a chilled day for me after riding a ton since last thursday, got started on the groundtactics judging, which a few of you riders have been enquiring about. Thanks to everyone who took the time to film and show what they got, flatland needs more of this kind of thing, to push the level up! Today i’m back riding with Bobby and the One love crew, Travis Collier is in town also. This trip has been amazing so far! I’ll try and get some video stuff before I leave back to the cold winter in the UK. Cali bro!
It’s been a while since a Shinde edit, all levels covered here… enjoy…
Aaron Frost in midst of sick new xft halfpacker line.
Yesterday about 20 riders hit up the Studio City spot overlooking Universal City studios before the main jam next weekend, for a full day of sessioning, great to see some old and new faces on the scene, from the new breed such as Jowii Felix, through to Todd Carter, who used to compete in the AFA days. Aaron Frost was in town shooting a new flick with Ed Nussbaum. Jesse P showed up for a lil bit. I spent most of the day riding and catching up with my old Hutch team-mate John Yull and Bo Wade. The Studio City lot is big enough for pocket of people to session throughout the day. Check the photos, today we are off to the infamous Rose Garden spot and Bo’s underground spot, for a change of scenery. Enjoy the photos! West Coast!
