For this weeks Throwback, we go back 21 years to 1994! And Props Issue 3, Claybom24 made this great mix of the flatland footage in that issue. Amazing footage from the BS contest in Kansas, Paul Osicka Interview, and 94′ York Jam that is sadly remembered for Edgar Plascencia and Richard Zabzdyr being involved in a serious car crash on the way home to California from York, PA, Richard lost his life. RIP, Richard Zabzdyr.
Man, memories… I remember finding out about Richard passing because of an order of Graveyard pegs and chain tensioners I was waiting on. His brother contacted me and said they couldn’t fill the order because of what happened and the company’s future being up in the air… I was like, man, forget the order, I was way more bummed about his loss! Super sick rider that passed way too young… I remember Edgar’s riding also not being the same after that.
Also… how the hell did anyone get anything done on those heavy ass bikes we had back then? lol Amazing what kind of progression was happening on 45-50+ pound bikes in the 90’s.
The York Jam section in here also had a clip from Paul Palmer.. Another super original rider from PA that has passed away. RIP Richard and Paul.
