Some of these clips were used in Watch Out For Robots! by Steve Lapsley. Steve had this to say:
“Well over a year ago work on Watch Out For Robots started. Bobby Burge enlisted Jim McKay to film his part. During the making of WOFR Bobby’s father passed away. This could have discouraged anyone to give up on the project. Instead, Bobby proceeded to put together the culmination of his entire riding career on film. His section of the video has become one of the highlights and most talked about sections of the film. However, it’s only a fraction of what Bobby and Jim put together while filming. This complete edit features not just clips used for WOFR but the unused clips, crashes, outtakes and everything in between.

This was so good and inspirational!
Bobby rules on so many levels . Just did a BMX demo for a church with him and his students that he’s coaching . ( they’re all VERY skilled on their bikes because of Bobby’s coaching.) Burge rode the demo like he rides in contests . ( doing all his hardest stuff ! ) He’s mi amigo and a rider who I love watching just what new trick / line that he’s gonna create and show me …..every time I go ride bikes with him @ BMX Haven ( his personal riding spot . ) Jim and Booby REALLY slammed it down for this edit . Bobby’s originality on his bike and Jim’s originality behind the camera , such a sick collab ! Thanks for posting , Big-E !
This was madness!
Super polished edit! It’s amazing that it’s still possible to invent a totally different style.
I have seen superman hang-5 only once yet. It’s probably the most dangerous trick in flat. But I keep imagining that some day someone will do it in full extent. Maybe even with that scorpion-like overbend with which Rick Allison used to do his top guns. Can’t wait to see that.
