Heavy news to wake up to this morning, Craig “Mutt” Walters passed away yesterday after a hard fought battle with stage 4 pancretic cancer.

Mutt for me was more than a flatland rider, he was a friend, mentor, and the kind of person who brought riders together without wanting anything in return. 

Through flatland, Mutt created a community built on friendship, creativity, laughter, and support. 

Many of us are connected today because of him, he helped me in my earlier trips to the US and particularly San Francisco and “the spot” in Walnut Creek.

His enthusiasm to help riders, whether encouragement, knowledge, where to stay, riders to meet up, jams to go to, Mutt was a big part of that Nor Cal scene that got people together.

Your legacy and spirit will continue to roll with all of us forever.

Thanks for all you did for everyone whose path you crossed along your journey.
