The 2026 British Cycling Championships went down at the RAF Hanger 59, in Shrewsbury this past weekend.

Sam Foakes threw down a flawless first run to take the UK Champion title for the second year in a row, full of his signature turbine style, including multiple cliffhanger turbines to backwards cross handed no footed cliffhanger body twist to cliffhanger, and one of the best contest saves I’ve ever seen, stopping dead on a backwards hang 10 to half packer, and somehow riding out backwards.

Sam was followed by Lee Musselwhite who as always scored high on originality, but a few touches kept off the top spot, and Dan Margetts took the third place with a consistent run with a healthy mix of back and front wheel, with Yinka Thomas in fourth.

In the Womens class, Sam Anderson took the win, with last years Champion Kayley Ashworth in second, and Loren Spencer in third place.
