Brandon Fenton – PerseveranceB&W

PerseveranceB&W from Brandon F. on Vimeo.

A nice friday treat for us all from Brandon Fenton! The opening scene is pretty powerful. Here’s what Brandon had to say:

“This video is about my exploration of a trick concept that has always been very challenging to me: the whiplash. In the opening scene I experience complete muscle failure in my lower back from pushing it too hard. The rest of the video is a testament to what can happen if you keep pushing yourself past your pain, your fear, your injuries, and other set-backs. You are a force. Don’t let anything stop you.”

  1. PROPS BRANDON! You have inspired me to finally commit to learning multiple whips. Thank you for that and the cameo. 🙂

  2. I pulled my first whiplash back in 1994. Since then I’ve done brakeless single whiplashes both directions. STILL can’t seem to ever master them and feel comfortable enough with this trick (and actually, all rolling tricks in general) to be able to extend or manipulate them through multiples, variations, etc. I’ve sort of accepted rolling stuff as my primary flatland learning disability, but still try to fight past it whenever I ride, with some days definitely better than others. MUST PERSEVERE. =)

  3. Thanks everyone! There were two more clips I just couldn’t find anywhere so I’m gonna have to get out there and film them again and and maybe put out a super short mini update soon. I appreciate the positive vibes!
