As we start the new year, many riders are sharing their riding highlights throughout 2025! The first one I have come across, is this great one from Plywood Hood and all around shredder, Brett Downs! Love the little quirky details in Brett’s riding, and this is a great start to the new year here on Flatmattersonline!
It’s so rad how Brett progresses his riding in multiple disciplines in BMX .( it’s always been the Plywood BMX Hood way since the first Dorkin In York film ! ) I love/ remember how @ I think the 2000 Y2K-BMX York Jam that Brett was back flipping his own portable box jump AND throwing down some flat lines as well. Brett is a BMX lifer / ripper in all aspects of the sport , so damn good to see that mentality in his riding STILL today. He’ll be 83 still doing double decades , flat tables outta transitions , grinding ledges , and making it look easy/enjoyable . Viva the BMX Plywood Hood O.G. BMX Legends. Rad edit , Senor Downs ! Riding harder as the years come !
So good. Queston: why wasn´t more in the Dorkin Vids? Seems like he is the last one riding now. Great watch and I had never actually listened to the Damned.
