Must Watch – Jean William Prevost / Made in Shenzhen

Made in Shenzhen from IGI BMX on Vimeo.

This edit/documentary struck a real chord with me, here we have a man at the top of his game, Jean William Prevost and he has the humbleness to say something like, “Hey I am going to show everyone where I came from and how I got to where I am right now”. I always hear people say, what edit would you show people to say, this is flatland. Right now, I would show them this, the mix of narrative insight, amazing editing skills, and the killer riding tick all the boxes. Dub does what he does with great responsibility, and the forklift grabbing the tyre one handed at the 6:01 mark is flat out incredible not to mention everything he does. This is a great addition to the flatland culture, thank you Dub!

Marton Szilagyi is 47

Marton’s 47 edit from og pictures on Vimeo.

Many years ago I was a 15 year old kid riding flatland at Southsea Skatepark, and a lad a few years older rode into the rink with a really old school style. He introduced himself, hi my name is Marton in broken english. He was in town performing in the Hungarian state circus, and he came back a year later absolutely incredible. We all know what happened after, and I think about the same story each time I see footage of OG Marton. Today Marton celebrates his 47th birthday and I have got to say he is one of the best to ever do it, there is so much depth to what he does, go give this a watch and you will see what I’m talking about. Keep on, keeping on Marton!

Throwback Thursdays with Martti Kuoppa

This weeks throwback is dedicated to Martti Kuoppa, who would have known that back in 1998 when this Intrikat Linkt video dropped that MK would become a Video contest organiser with Master of Creativity and now it is possible to earn money out of video riding. Many of you will know this legendary section, but nevertheless it is certainly worth rewatching. Loved the Camo theme as well as the riding of course.

Naotada Yamada – Freestyle Now recruit squad member

The Freestyle Now Squad continues to grow, today they just announced 10 year old ripper Naotada Yamada from Japan to their team. Below is official word:

“We would like to formally announce that young 10 year old Naotada Yamada from Osaka is officially on the Freestyle Now recruits squad. Japan has many talented young bmx flatland riders. Naotada took second place at flatark 2017 in the novice class showing how awesome his riding is. We believe he has a great future in bmx flatland. With time we hope Naotada will move on up through the ranks to be on the full Freestyle Now squad and keep rolling out the rad.”
