Flatland was never the same after Dorkin’ 3 dropped! Kevin Jones and the Plywood Hoods changed the game forever. What a contribution this crew made! Look at this part, many of us had never seen a no handed hang ten before, just a picture in a magazine, and this was the first time many saw the hitchhiker. This might be one of the most influential sections of all time in my opinion. Brilliant!
Never heard of them.
Needs to be in authentic VHS “copy of a copy of a copy” style for the real effect 😉
that’s the REAL “boss” the “K” for KEVIN !
Epic. Some of those tricks I’ve never seen before!
Should be mandatory viewing for all flatlanders. Eatons style in here is sooo awesome too.
The Big Catch!
Amazing! What year was this?
Here here Colin! I still have em all on VHS and of corse the Boxset 🙂
Truly Epic stuff.
good way to start my sunday @ 3.00 oh yeah!! I miss the wait every year for the latest Dorkin..
1989 this was released! Groundbreaking!
@ Mark. This was about 90 if I remember correctly. Kevin was on GT, and already doing Hitchhiker stuff. I was there when he did the first Hitchhiker in public in ATX.
Last weekend I gave Joel Schallhorn a demo of how we used to get into hitch hikers and he was all like “WHAT!?!?!?! That’s crazy”
1989 i got this ,Timeless 🙂

“SPOILER ALERT”, I heard it took 3 boom boxes for that last clip! And where’s Huddleston?
Nope, they planned it, but it worked out right the first try. It’s as cool as you think it is
faker alert
Wait! You can do tricks in a straight line without turbining and pumping?!?!
Actually, that was one radio, one take for mind blowin’ Jones
. Kev put the batteries back in and it still worked.
Oh, @ 3:14, those are called Baykestool whips. Kevin and Dave Mirra made them up together.
The first copy of Dorkin 3 I saw had The Big Catch written on the tape. Not Dorkin 3??? Brett???
Best section ever.
The Big Catch was a reference to the opening. You know, a fishing video.
still got my dodgy copy of copy of copy on vhs. wish i bought the boxset when it came out a few years back. so got 3 on copy- 4 onwards backyard managed to import so least i got originals til the last one at 10.
