Alejandro Marques – España
Alejandro Marques is out in Spain visiting his parents, and threw down some of his signature lines in this opening edit. Hopefully we will see more from his trip shortly…
Throwback Thursdays – Ross Smith Intrikat Connect 2000
This weeks TBT is dedicated to one of the best to ever do it, one of my personal favourites Ross Smith… This section from Chad Johnston’s Intrikat Connect video that dropped in 2000 I believe still hits hard today. The opening fire hydrant body varial to backwards backwards backpacker pivot xft hitch out is so good not to mention everything he does actually. Go watch it, get inspired!
George Kikos – One Session
Winter sure does look good over in Greece, just look at that marina riding spot George Kikos has, with of course some sweet front and back wheel lines thrown in for good measure here.
Bert Ribul – Mexico
Getting back to normal post routine today, and Bert Ribul just sent in this nice raw edit killing it in Mexico whilst he was out there doing shows for BMW. Look out for the hang ten pivot backwards facing spinning circle k type spin line at 00:39 and the stomped half cab whopper at 1:25 is so good!
Effraim Catlow – One Session
It’s been a long time coming, three years in fact since my last edit with Ollie Denny. During that time, I have been battling injuries off and on the bike, it’s been hard to get any rhythm. Ironically I just crashed on my roadbike a few hours before we filmed this.
Matti Hemmings popped down this past weekend, and the session quickly turned from “Let’s get a few tricks” to “might as well film an edit Effraim?”. In one session I did 7 combos I was pretty happy with, the ender though got corrupted. So That will have to wait for the next project.
If you listened to my interview with Scott O’Brien you will have heard me talking about this idea of releasing clips like EP’s before the LP. Let’s call this the One Session EP.
Thank you Matti Hemmings for taking the time to film in this “One Session” edit.
Renaud Laspeyres – 2017
Renaud Laspeyres just dropped his annual edit tearing it up on the streets of Paris, France. If you have been paying attention to Renaud’s has been refining his lines over the past few years, the edit opens with his signature spinning forward death spin overtaker out, what you notice right away is the speed he is going into each line. It’s not too often we see kick flip hikers anymore, so it feels like a breath of fresh air to see Renaud’s x-ft hitch kick flip to regular hiker at L’Opera followed by turbine version. Towards the end of the edit, Renaud switches to brake set up, give this one a watch!
Giannis Caternellis – Freestyler #83
Giannis Caternellis celebrates his 34th birthday in style with 34 combos in his 83rd Freestyler episode. Happy birthday Giannis, thanks for sharing your riding once again and have a great day!
Dan Hennig – Bike Flip
By now you must have been living in a cave if you didn’t see Dan Hennig’s Ice cream bike flip out to pedals that has been all over social media. Here Dan documents the struggle in a little bit more detail so this well worth a watch, congratulations Dan! Heavy move!
Austin Luberda – Current
You might argue the biggest success story of the AFA coming back, is the platform it has given for Austin Luberda to grow. This guys progression and flow over the last few years is incredible, his multiple scuffless dump truck body varials are butter like. And the “My Bloody Valentine” fits his riding style really well, hell yeah Austin! Stickied for the day, go watch this!
