Alejandro Marques – A Blue Sunday
Catching up on weekend posts, and just came across this edit from Alejandro Marques who documented his Sunday session yesterday, enjoy!
Sietse van Berkel – Jungle Rider 2016
I’m a big fan of Sietse van Berkel’s riding, so I was stoked to wake up this sunday morning to a fresh “Junglerider 2016” edit from the man himself filmed over the summer and autumn period. Especially liked the two footed front yard turbine pendulum line around the 1:17 mark, but much more than that the way Sietse moves around the bike in effortless fashion is so great to see. Thanks for sharing with the flatland world, Sietse!
Steve Bisseker – London 1992
I have said it many times before many times before here on Flatmattersonline. Steve Bisseker’s is one of the unsung heroes in the BMX world, hit play for some cutting edge flatland riding from 1992 including his foot on the bar cliff in a straight line, and his signature bar flip ride in to all manners of dump truck variations. This guy could blast 8ft on ramp too, commentary by Lincoln Blacksley.
Tintadome Sessions
Fun times last week at the Tintadome with Moto Sasaki, Todd Carter, Michael Steingraeber and James McGraw sessioning whilst the snow came down outside in Colorado Springs. Thanks Mitchell Hall for this one!
Brian Tunney – Austin, Texas 2016
Stoked today to come across a fresh new edit out of Brian Tunney, here’s what Brian had to say:
“In January of 2015, I moved to Austin, Texas from Redondo Beach, California and decided that I should eventually get around to filming a new video. My dear friend Stew Johnson volunteered his time and effort and skills, and together, slowly but surely, we amassed enough footage to put together something I was happy with. I then DM’d Patrick Kindlon of Self Defense Family to see if we could make sweet, beautiful love together (I.E. use their song) and he said 100% use it. With help from a clip filmed by Robin Fenlon in Newport Beach, we spent the day after Thanksgiving 2016 sitting in Stew’s office and came up with the following. I owe dear thanks to so many people for pushing me to keep going on this bizarre BMX journey for over 30 years now, and this is dedicated to each and every one of them. Thanks for watching a 42-year-old no one⦔
Must Watch – George Manos / Nlight
Following George Manos amazing final entry for the Master of Creativity contest, I was kind of thinking he may take some downtime before releasing anything new. How wrong I could be?!!. George’s riding takes a massive leap forward here for me where you can see him developing longer links whilst riding pegless and also his backwards facing nose manual lines, my personal favourite standouts in this latest “Nlight” edit:
The xft pedal 5 line at 00:34, the footwork is amazing, drooling over this one!
No handed backwards facing nose manual to no footed crackpacker at 1:13.
Backwards facing g-turn nose manual at 1:29.
The footwork in the line at 1:36, just amazing!
Double footed spinning backwards facing nose manual at 1:52!
And the banger line, Foot jam whip to no handed grouching pedal xft five line at 1:59 finishes off this creative masterpiece off nicely! Thanks for sharing this George, an absolutely incredible level of creative riding!
Michael Steingraeber & James McGraw – Till the wheels fall off
Till the wheels fall off from James McGraw on Vimeo.
Michael Steingraeber & James McGraw got in one last session at the Tintadome before Michael was due to fly back to Germany, as it turns out this may not be Michael’s session as Lufthansa are currently on strike. Good vibes and a lot of screaming as you would expect from James McGraw, especially liked the forward karl round the back right hand side halfpacker (and also change direction) opposite circle k to opposite body varial out!
Luke Malone – 45 Power Flow
Sweet new “45 Power Flow” out of Luke Malone to get your teeth into today, loving the x-hand one handed hang 5 turbine line at the 2:15 mark. Hit play ad enjoy this one!
