Alan Young sent in this sad news, with a call for help from the flatland community. If you can help, hit the link below:
“My best friend and fellow flatlander from Indiana, was in a serious bmx accident this past
sunday and is now hospitalized. He has three broken neck vertebrae, compressed lower back,
broken sternum, clavical and concussion. There is a strong possibility he will be paralyzed from
his waist down. His wife and family setup a online fundraiser to help start to cover the medical bills.”
James McGraw – My Life at 44
A lot of thoughts come into my mind watching this edit of James, firstly Happy Birthday James who is today is 44, as is Pete Brandt! The progression of James’ back wheel riding since he went brakeless is so awesome to see, and of course the fire Mr McGraw shows after pulling that last combo puts a smile on my face and maybe yours! Will you be this fired up at the age of 44? Hit play and celebrate James birthday! Hell yes!
Joe Cicman – Huffgate Progression
One of the best things about producing this site is following people’s progression, and at the moment Joe certainly seems to be progressing almost daily! Just the other day Joe learnt Jaffa Whips both inside and outside, two different techniques, here he works both into a combo! On another note it is great to see an AM pushing it on the daily! Keep on Joe!
Fabien Stephan – Progression
Sick new progression edit from Fabien Stephan, not used to seeing Fabien on the back wheel so the junkyard drop to xft inside steam around the 00:45 mark stood out for me, but there a ton more! Well worth a watch!
Alex Jumelin Flatland School in New Orleans
You may remember that Alex had a flatland school in Paris a few years ago. That school run for many years at his infamous training spot in the suburbs of Paris. Now Alex has taken the idea to a school in New Orleans, and is putting in some work to the grassroots scene in the US! Heres what Alex had to say:
“I’m in charge of a new project to develop flatland in new orleans .
The international school of louisiana (ISL ) ask to built a bmx flatland team , out of a 25 kids audition i selected 9 kids to be part of it.
My mission is to teach those kids how to ride flatland , they learn tricks and ride under my advice from 8 to 3 everyday for the next 2 weeks.
It’s a very good experience and motivate me to start a real flatland school here in new orleans.”
