I think the back brake is on the way… back. Bikes are so simple now that adjusting brakes is really the most annoying thing and although the gyro is pretty good now, I could see someone coming up with something better.

In Japan, it is illegal to ride on the public street without brake, and regulations against brakeless riders have been strengthened these days.
I heard some riders have been fined some money for it…
