It’s been a while since an Old School Sundays feature, and every now and then a repost is well deserved! As is the case here, Gerry Smith’s 1988 AFA Kansas run still hits hard to this day, particularly the last two tricks.
Well worth a watch if you have’t already, what an intense run!
Local Tampa Hero!
I’m 48 years old and I still get goosebumps from watching this!
Bring back Old school Sundays , E ! Even if just every other 3 or 4Sundays knowing how extremely busy you are …..intense ,indeed ! What a run ! His forward rope to Smith just STOMPED on that pedal with raditude , the rolling over taker , the multiple whiplash to elephant glide , the forward rope ,slip to locomotive ( just recently relearned Locs , haha. ) to Smith…….again , BANGING run that I’d be just as thrilled to see him do ….TODAY . This was so progressive for 1988 . Legendary , TIMES 7…….
I bet Gerry a bar tab in 2009 that he couldn’t do that reverse cross footed whiplash to cow maneuver—I was wrong.
