Viki Gomez In Flight

Photographer Rutger Pauw teamed up with Viki for this amazing looking photo project called “Viki Gomez In Flight”. Matty Lambert documented the shooting with a behind the scene edit, and there’s also an interview on the Red Bull website:

Rutger Pauw had this to say: “I got the idea for the suit on a trip in Japan, and couldn’t think of a better guy to shoot it with than my dear friend Viki Gómez The suit was made by Nicola jane Gulliver out of 20 metres of parachute fabric, and we had no idea if the 5 metre long sleeves would work. I rented the biggest industrial fan i could find, and we drove to Luxembourg to shoot it in an old factory.”

2013 World Circuit News!

Hello all,

As you know the BMX Flatland World Circuit is in full swing for 2012. Voodoo Jam was a huge success in June with Tsutomu Kitayama taking the lead in points. Next stop is Vigo Spain in August and then we have the final stop in Kobe Japan October.

To make a few things clear about this year on the Circuit:
-Top 3 riders pay out – 1st $5,000, 2nd $3,000, 3rd $1,000
-Top 6 riders in year end points get a free trip to Tokyo Japan to compete for The Real Toughness G Shock Finals in December 2013.

In other news we are proud to announce Viki Gomez and Yohei “Uchhie” Uchino are now on board and will be directors of their regions for Circuit. These riders will help us to move forward with improvements and growth to the Circuit. Top level riders stepping up to secure the future of Flatland BMX. Some of the topics we are working on now will be growth to other areas and more effective ways for riders to participate in the Circuit.

Lastly we are very proud to announce that G Shock is our title sponsor, and we want to thank G Shock their support of the Circuit.

Thank you

Paul Chamberlain for S&M

Paul Chamberlain is a character, with humour as dry as a box of cornflakes. We tried to film a normal edit, really, but it didn’t work out. His brother Carlos was on a visit from the UK, new to BMX Paul took Carlos under his sarcastic wing to show him the ropes at Sydney’s Dulwich Hill Skatepark. The following video was filmed in a single afternoon at the park, but that’s how Paul rolls, on a busted old basketball court pouring sarcasm in a true Southend manner.
“You can take the boy out of Southend But you can’t take the Southend out of the boy.”
