Nick Watts is on fire with updates, enjoy his session from the 13th July. I have said before, but Nick sure can move around the bike well! Always motivating to watch, enjoy!
Kevin Jacob took home his first pro contest win at the Fise Experience contest in Reims, France. Thanks to Kevin Meyer for the contest coverage and congratulations to Kevin once again on the win, peep it right here.
Taking a break from contest coverage, and a fresh new edit from German style cat Steffen Peter. Flow and style for days, really enjoyed this one.
Pure gold from the archives of BMX today that everybody needs to watch and get educated. It is well documented on Flatmattersonline that I am a big fan of the New England flatland scene, growing up sharing Radazine and Wire ‘zine from an early age definitely helped me progress and be really motivated to ride a lot. Scott Moroney came through with this amazing project, don’t sleep on this everyone! Today is a good day!
If you watch one video today, make it this one!
From the creators of “One Flying Kidney” comes this truly inspiring story of a Nigerian flatlander by the name of Cherechukwu Udenkwere who didn’t have a legitimate bike. But after Shane Hawke left a comment on one of Che’s social media posts, a group of likeminded individuals pooled their resources to hook up the man with a proper flatland bike, and now he’s straight shredding!!! The BMX community is a strong and tight knit group of humans who share a passion and want nothing more than to spread the love.
Back in 2016 quite a few of us were reaching for a hankie over One Flying Kidney, the story of Stuart Crumpton, a rider with renal cancer, and the friends who raised money for Stu’s dream bike to aid his recovery. Two years on, a fighting fit Stu and team are back to pay it forward, joining forces with Ride On (a Facebook group for the discerning older rider) and French flatland company StMartin to try and help out a guy in Nigeria called Che. Che dreams of becoming a great flatlander, but on dirt streets and an old midschool ride, the odds seem heavily stacked against him.
Pure gold from the archives from the man that can’t be stopped right now. Nick Watts has bust onto our screens this year and we can’t get enough of it. Peep this throwback “PIM 2” edit that just went online, amazing lines, and awesome mix of tunes too. I shall be watching this one again, the man can move around that bike! Style!
43 part 3 – Front Wheel from art thomason on Vimeo.
Flatland lifer, Art Thomason just threw down his third full edit of the year to celebrate his 43rd birthday. So much skill, and years of depth going into this lines. Really enjoyed this one and I am sure you will do to!
Máté Hocopán works with me at the skatepark and wanted to base his final media project at University about the work I do at the skatepark working with kids, coaching, helping them with sponsorships, and also outside of it coaching flatland at a local community centre. One of my favourite terms “Pro rider responsibility” became the title for his project that takes a look at the grassroots work I do on a day to day basis, behind the scenes style!
Short and sweet, Iñigo Arroyo throws down a couple of sweet back wheel lines for this new Trapagabike Mini Edit, hit play!
