Must Watch! Viki Gomez – Intrinsic

I have been waiting for something like this for a long time, something that digs inside what is flatland, and what can it bring to the individual. Bobby Carter explains a little more, grab a cuppa and enjoy this amazing project!

“After Viki won 2015 BFWC Championship, Viki was asked to make a film with a message for the new generation of riders. The film was shown at the Tokyo Bicycle Film Festival. We only had about 3 weeks to make this film. Martti Kuoppa, Simon O’Brien, Chase Gouin, Chad Degroot, and Scott Powell all scrambled were able to submit footage with their perspectives on flatland. Besides the time crunch, the most challenging and most fun part was digging through the archives of flatland history to pull out some of the best riding put on video from Diversion, Intrikat, Baco, and others from the 1990s to present day. I hope you enjoy the story and the many perspectives on this thing we all love, called flatland!”

  1. This is a royal class of Flatland, with the teachers explaining not to learn their tricks, but teaching how to find your own way to learn your kind of tricks.
    thank you guys

  2. This is by far the best rider perspective video I think I’ve ever seen on the sport of flatland BMX! Fantastic job Viki, Bobby, and the rest of the team! And as one of the riders who was part of the really early days of flatland from the early / mid 80’s all the way up to today (still riding every week at age 48), thanks for the kudos and respect for those that came before that helped lay the ground work for flatland BMX! There are many of us out there! My favorite video of 2016!

  3. That was great! Really felt nostalgic. I was so immediately swept up in flatland from day 1. Some time in 2003 it was. I started trying to change my bike and got some of Bobby’s vids and some Props. I saw a bunch of this footage back then. It’s totally changed my life. Watching this made me feel happy and sad. I’m sad a bit that the contest has more dialled riders than the crazy Akira types. Now it’s possible to predict 90% of most guys runs. I’m still there for that 10% though.

    Thanks Bobby! Thanks Viki!

    We miss your work Bobby!!!!!!
