This weeks Throwback is dedicated a video, Chase, Scott and Brian put together back in 1999. The riding that went down at Chenga was way ahead of the time, I think this video went under the radar of most riders. So if you haven’t seen this, it will be worth setting aside to digest this one!
Throwback Special with Alex Jumelin!
Alex sent in this weeks Throwback especially for Flatmatters. X Games 2002 Philadelphia, in the warm up before finals Alex collided badly with Phil Dolan. The collision gave Alex a deep cut to the forehead, if memory serves me right as Phil was coming out of a pedal straddle-roni. Years on Alex jokes about it, and the 5 stitches is there a memory doubt he will ever forget.(see photo below) At the time I was amazed Alex hung in there for 7th place in a stacked pro class!
