Hardcore SICK Flatland from Scott on Vimeo.
Great video by Scott Stanton back in 1997, so much good riding from what was then, the place to be in flatland, Huntington Beach, So Cal, featuring the likes of Andrew Faris, Matt Gibson, Andrew Arroyo, Trevor Meyer, Gabe Weed, Jamie Macintosh, Sean Peters, Leo Dumlao, Day Smith, Sean White, Ruben Castillo, Nate Hansen, Jason Brown, a very young Nathan Penonzek, Phil Dolan, this is dope! Thanks to Scott Nagy for the upload!
Musta watched phils bit from this 100 times + , so good .
Totally Ciaran! Phil kills it! HB days….
Yeah Phils section is nuts , got this on dvd format now top flick.
Now me and Gabe weed are the only ones left that regularly ride HB! With regular visits from bobby carter and other LA cats 🙂
How and the hell did trevor do that spinning whatever you call it at 9:55 ? Seems like any pressure on the pedal would engage the clutch!!!
BTW there’s a couple of scene’s in this edit that HAS to be from burning man! Especially at 31:08! Hell yea!
Yeah i wondered that also Sean at 9:55 ,BTW that tricks a Candyman
Coaster hub with the shoes taken out maybe or Standard Bykes unbreak hub ??
Yes seen this one many times too- great vid for an exciting time! Good to see a UK rider with the finale for sure.
+ is this a good time to mention Sean’s section which was posted a couple days back was f***in ill!
My brother Nathan! WOWWWW
Just lovin’ the smooth aggression of Day Smith!
Wow, The Big Gun and Dumlao! Brings back memories… So SIIIIICK!
Big thanks Johann!! I put some time + pain into that one 🙂
I was told (by Roy de Guzman) that it was his ‘rollercoaster’ freecoaster, the one that you can engage it backwards or lock it from going forward.
If you look at the pedal you’ll see his foot is on it while its in a forward position. It could only be this way if he had a brake lock (or holding the brake) to keep it in position, OR if you have a hub thats locked from going forward like his rollercoaster.
He’s notorious for having multiple different hubs over the years, so my money is on Roy’s opinion!
Cheers
