James White & Mario Carelse win 2024 U.K. CHAMPIONSHIPS in Elite & Expert Class

It’s been a good weekend at Adrenaline Alley in Corby for the 2024 U.K. Championships as part of the Backyard jam series.

Congratulations to James White taking the win in the Men’s Elite class followed by Yinka Thomas who had the run of his life, followed by Matti Hemmings on the podium, with Dan Margetts in fourth place.

Congratulations to Mario Carelse taking the win in the Expert class followed by Mike O’Connell and Kai Coleborn in third, closely followed by Ellis Morgans and Steve Rooke. Kai had to leave before the prizegiving, thanks Johann for the photo.

Great weekend in Corby, so good to catch up with some of the U.K. flatland community once again and be right in the mix with the rest of the U.K. BMX scene.

Thanks Greg, and Diane at British cycling for having us, judges with Johann Chan and Phil Dolan. Hank, Stuart and Colin and everyone involved. All the riders that made the effort to attend and support.

Till next time.

DISCUSSION POINT: Is Flatland an Artform or a Sport?

Watching George Mano’s last video part “Adapa”, I thought to myself shall I ask the flatland community on the FM IG. Is flatland an artform or sport? The response was amazing, and I definitely wasn’t expecting George to write about in on his FB account, and just like that a new DISCUSSION POINT section is born here on Flatmattersonline. Over to George, let us know what you think in the comments. Love how this happened, so organically. Thank you to George for sharing his thoughts with us…
