As we start the new year, many riders are sharing their riding highlights throughout 2025! The first one I have come across, is this great one from Plywood Hood and all around shredder, Brett Downs! Ok, I definitely spoke far too quickly. Danny Nghieu just dropped a full part on Christmas Day full of creative ideas that I really enjoyed and I’m sure you will do to, I first became aware of Dan’s riding on IG. This year he’s already thrown in a FM exclusive on IG to get the exclusives rolling again, and come through with this amazing part. Keep at it Dan!

This video represents some of the different kinds of riding I did in 2025. Most of it was filmed between April and December.
I rode the same bike frame throughout but pretty much changed every other part at some point. It was fun to experiment with different setups, putting on brakes, switching between freecoaster and cassette, and even going pegless for a few months just because I was lazy.
Off the bike, 2025 was an intense year. Coming into it, my wife and I were devastated by the loss of our old dog. We had also just adopted a puppy. I had been diagnosed with a cognitive disorder that was wreaking havoc on my personal life. I managed to passed the Professional Engineering exam in July on the first attempt, a huge milestone for my career. Relationships and friends came and went, but amidst the relentless changes, BMX has somehow remained steadfast.
To be honest, it is difficult to sort out the words that can accurately describe the hate, love, pain and suffering that goes on behind the riding. Despite the turmoil and pain, I am grateful. Looking back, I smile at the progression of my riding and the ideas that I’ve come up with.

Back in the early 2000’s, I lived part of my year in North Carolina whilst I was competing in the X Trials series over in the states. So good to see this full scene edit with some of NC’s finest with full sections from the likes of Anthony Brogden, Bryan Hoffman, Isaiah Jordan, Keith King and many more.
In terms of events videos, Chimera A side may well do it the best. Case in point here, with class by class break downs plus interviews. When you got some spare time, well worth watching this one with so much great riding from the Japanese flatland scene.
I hope you all had a good Christmas, getting back to posting on one of the busiest December’s flatland video wine I can recall.

What a month for flatland video parts, and it continues right here with a beautiful concept. Cory Fester last released video was his “16 days” part, and today Monday 22nd December marks 16 years.
At 21 minutes long filmed between 2009-2025 there is a lot to take in here, it’s fully time to grab a cuppa and enjoy Cory go all in and get the dream combos on his list.(check the end of the video!)
If you know Cory, he does not mess around, and besides the obvious hammers that are going to have everyone talking.
I loved some of the subtles, the backwards tea kettle turbine to forwards at 8:45, the genius of the can-can ride in to backwards half packer at 10:18.
The double hanglider lines, into hang 5 at 10:33 and hitchhiker at 17:15.
And the last section that starts at 17:00, the opposite flail body varial to backwards half packer at 20:34!
Big respect Cory, this is one hell of a project! Let’s talk about this one!!
