The Tizer Worlds in 1987 was a big deal for the Uk scene! Larry Bull was always one of the most original riders on the UK comp circuit, check out this run, the double footed no handed backwards squeaker was awesome, theres also a lil’ whiplash way ahead of the time.
Manchester is well known for it’s rainfall. This weekend whilst I am in Manchester for some Skyride show Sam Foakes had the idea to hold a session to get the riders together. Luckily the weather was really good, which is rare when it is raining everywhere else. 13 riders showed up, really good vibe! Above is a shot of Andy Hale in the midst of a sick two footed dump truck double pivot combo. I will be posting a repo next week, and I believe Chris Massey will be posting up an edit too. Good to see in this edit, a flatland trick crossing over to the rest of BMX! Hence this flatland how-to on the Allisport website. However this is of course is useful if you ride flatland and want to learn how-to whiplash.

Simon O’Brien is unfortunately not a name we here often enough. Perhaps maybe thats a good thing. What is for certain, is that Simon is one of the best riders of all time! The man has a trick bag bigger than anyone I have ever seen face to face. He recently was invited to the 2012 Red Bull Circle of Balance in Japan! Whilst he was over in the land of rising sun recently I caught up with him for a lil’ bikecheck!

I like the look of radial spokes, double front brakes are fun, colony cranks are awesome, I like the mid set dropouts on the forks.

Advice to beginners on bike set ups?
experiment with certain parts, but also take advice from the good riders
on what good parts are, it does help. make sure your set up is comfy and suites the style of riding you want to
pursue.

So the last two years the BMX Masters has been won by a european rider. 2010 Adam Kun, and last year Matthias Dandois added the BMX Masters Champion to his long list of contest wins. Can he win it again? Can Adam come back and take the win back to Hungary? Or will someone else step up?

The Masters and the Worlds is basically the same thing.They seem to go back and forth every few years. Same organisers at the Jugendpark with now the DeepBMX making flatland happen there , if you win the Worlds it sounds so much better and has more credibility tho in my opinion!
