Alex sent in this weeks Throwback especially for Flatmatters. X Games 2002 Philadelphia, in the warm up before finals Alex collided badly with Phil Dolan. The collision gave Alex a deep cut to the forehead, if memory serves me right as Phil was coming out of a pedal straddle-roni. Years on Alex jokes about it, and the 5 stitches is there a memory doubt he will ever forget.(see photo below) At the time I was amazed Alex hung in there for 7th place in a stacked pro class!
