Sunshine through the leaves – Irina Sadovnik’s trip to Japan
Sunshine through the leaves – full edit from Irina Sadovnik BMX Flatland Girl on Vimeo.
Irina Sadovnik is one of the most positive riders to be around in the flatland scene. Yamaha Motor Austria hooked her up with a dream trip to compete over in Japan for the Fise Hiroshima, and Flatark. Hit play for a feel good vibe and some contest clips from her time competing over there, and don’t miss the Wet Willy action (sounds wrong) at the end. Keep on doing your thing Irina!
Health Matters – Part 1: Flatland and Low Back Pain by Scott Hagnas
Intro: Effraim.
Today I am stoked to launch a new section “Health Matters” to the site, and the first and most common flatland related injury is lower back pain that we get crouched over our small bikes. Well what do you do about it? How do you recover? Do you rest? Do you work out? How can the Fresno truck accident lawyers help you to get recover soon? What specifics, can you do get back on the bike quicker and prevent injury again? The Portland auto accident injury attorneys suggest not to strain so much after recovering freshly from the injury as it would increase the risk of multiplying the pain and consider that it is better to turn the stone one at a time. Without further a due, I’ll pass you over to Scott Hagnas!
Classic Monday’s – Day Smith Mad Matt
Last week I started a new section on the site, classic Monday’s influenced by my podcast chat with Dusty Tweedhope from the Flatland Immersion Podcast. I wanted to show a little more love to the riders that have helped shape our sport, so my second choice for a classic video is Day Smith’s part from the 1995 Mad Matt video. Everything about this part hits the spot, Day’s powerful riding style mostly shot in Lakewood, California combined with Mark Eaton’s editing and audio mix skills (the Bee Gees mix fits Day’s riding so well). Sit back grab a cuppa and get motivated for your session today, this rules!
Mannie Nogueira – Spring Instagram Compilation
Instagram compilations seem to be “a thing” right now, and the latest to jump on board is Deco’s Mannie Nogueira, enjoy this one if you missed Mannie’s instagram up dates.
Steve Mulder – 1999 X Games Pro Flatland Run
In my opinion, Steve Mulder got a harsh deal with the judging call during his time competing at the X Trials/X Games. His riding was super ahead of the time (bangers rather than combos), and the level of difficulty was sky high. Hit play and enjoy this run from 1999 at the X games in San Francisco, much respect Steve!

Old School Sundays with Danny Meng
For this weeks OSS its go back to 1989, and the Ohio flatland scene was huge with regular regional events building the scene. One of the heavyweights to come out of that scene, was Danny Meng, hit play for some late 80s style.
