Yu Katagiri took the top spot at Fise World Montpellier in one of the highest level contests I’ve judged today, everyone’s going for it! Yu has followed by Yohei Uchino and Naoto Tamaru, top 16 make the cut for tomorrows semi final.
As contest season is about to get in full flow, with the Fire World event in Montpellier, France this weekend. I remembered I had a load of clips from the UCI World Championships in Glasgow last summer that I need to get off my phone. Enjoy this one!

On April 20th, the new building of Sport Zone SE hosted this year’s first Round of the Hungarian FlatlandCup. As usual, this year competitors rode in the Junior B, Junior, Girls, Master, Elite men’s, Elite women’s and Open categories. We created the Junior B category for those who started cycling not long ago, but love it!
What a run! Yuo Hayakawa has a big future ahead of him, amazing style and creativity for a kid so young. The line right after his fall, around the 00:58 mark is absolutely incredible!
Congratulations to Yu Katagiri, winner of Round 3 of the Japan Cup in Nagoya, Japan. Yu was followed on the podium by Fumiya Kanna and Yu Shoji. Like always, hopefully some footage soon.
The American BMX Flatland League kicked off its 2024 contest season on April 6, 2024 in Las Vegas! Mickey Gaidos came through with this solid highlights edit, check it out!

“For this episode, I sat down with a 22 years old Japanese shredder taking the contest scene by storm. He is the 2023 pro flatland champion and currently sitting in 3rd place in this year’s ranking. He calls Moto Sasaki his mentor. Rides both front and backwheel. Does a whole bunch of crazy jumps. He is a ball of energy and yet shows a high level of maturity. This is a bit of a short episode taped while we were in Montreal for Urban Games in late March. I give you Mr Yu Shoji.”
