The official edit of the 8th annual One Love Jam 2018 just dropped and it’s a banger. Look out for an interview here on FM real soon with the man behind the jam, Darin Wright. For now peep a whole load of good riding and vibes from the likes of Bill Nitschke, Ahmed Johnson, Bruno Zebu, Ruben Castillo, Chad Johnston, Gabe Weed, Ed Jolie, Dane Beardsley, and Pete Brandt.

If you pay attention to riders set up, you will notice James White always has some interesting bike modifications going on his ride. Many of you have been requesting James to do a bike check, the man himself got in contact and offered to show his bike check on FM! Over to Whiteski for the 411..
“So I’ve been getting a lot of requests about doing a bike check. So here it is.
To explain a little. I stopped getting support from S&M around mid 2017 as they were stopping regular production of Intrikat. I went straight into working with another company on a potential frame release. Sadly, that too was put on hold towards the end of the year. That left me with a rather tired bike and ripe for a fresh set up to kick start the new year.”

Dez Maarsen threw an Underground contest in Delft, Holland yesterday. Congratulations to Jorrit van Drumpt who took the top honours, followed by Sietse van Berkel, and Gilles van de Sompel. Good vibes from Holland, this sounds a whole lot of fun! Just found the video online by Erik Hogers, enjoy!

It’s that time of year when sponsorship deals happen pretty regularly, and a nice surprise I just caught on instagram. Dub just signed up Spanish style cat, Alberto Moya onto iGi! Here’s what Dub had to say: “He stands out for being one of the slowest yet most stylish and original riders.” Look out for some cool projects throughout the year with iGi..
Another week, another Giannis Caternllis edit to get you motivated, staying on the brakeless tip and stationary trick direction for the most part. Really liked the stationary one handed two footed steam to stationary half hiker at 2:05, but there’s a lot more. Don’t just my word for it, hit play.

First up it’s time to announce the editorial choice in the 2017 Flatmattersonline yearend awards followed by the Reader Choice, holding the awards each year I feel is a important thing to do for the culture of flatland and show some love back to the sport that has given me so much over the years.
Congratulations to all of the winners, and the nominees. Much respect to you all and all you do to contribute to flatland, it was a great year with a lot of twists and turns. Going to be interesting to see what 2018 brings. I wanted to display the medals tonight with the winners, but there is a slight delay that I’m not in control of. I will be contacting the winners shortly for addresses and interviews. Without further a due…

Decade Anthology: Group B from scott powell on Vimeo.
Scott Powell’s decade onslaught back in the summer of last year was mind blowing. Scott is the process of releasing three edits that document the clips, today he just dropped Group B of the Decade Anthology. What is your favourite clip?
Giannis Caternellis had some bike problems last week, so rather than not ride he took off his sprocket chain and pegs and most the most of the good weather in Greece. Hit play for some nice pegless skills, stationary brakeless and pegless whiplash plus the last trick pegless is crazy. Go watch this!

There have been plenty of rumours going around that S&M are no longer making the popular Chad Johnston designed Intrikat frame. I was stoked yesterday to see Chad post on his instagram a new frame in production that will squash the rumours. From the look of the photo the new version will have a slightly lower stand over. Available in black and raw clear, no word on sizes, but should be available soon no doubt.
