Vienna Jam – 14/15th April

Sebastian Grubinger hit me up today with some jam news for your flatland calendar. Here’s what he had to say:

“We will have 1500€ price money. 500 for the cash for tricks Jam on Saturday where everybody gets some euros for the tricks he lands. And then on Sunday the best trick contest. 600 for first place. 300 for second and 100 for 3rd.
Also we have workshops for whoever wants to try flatland with Viki Gomez and myself.
It all takes place during the Vienna bike festival with a lot of other events thrown in.
It’s the 20th birthday of the event, in the past years with around 100,000 visitors on the weekend. So quite a big audience to promote flatland with a jam.

More news soon.

In my younger years, I must have watched this AFA Masters Finals: Socco Freestyle Championship contest on VHS thousands of times. At 49:59 long, save this one for a quiet day.

Bradfield Plaza Jam – Sydney Australia / Saturday 17th February

Paul Chamberlain hit me up with some jam news for the Australian scene and all I could think of was why would you look at that riding spot?! Here’s what Paul had to say:

“We’re going to have a bit of jam on February 17th at this spot. No prizes, no schedule, just riding. Erik Laev is in town. That’s him in the picture. He’s got some amazing tricks and it’s always good to hang out with someone from another scene. He’s so far away because I wanted to capture how epic the spot is to show people that it’s worth travelling for. We rode here once years ago, but it was dirty and we never went back. It’s clean now, and it was sick today! We must be crazy to not have given this spot a second shot! Flyer doesn’t have much info, so just tell people to hit me up. It’s under the Harbour Bridge, it’s called Bradfield Plaza.”
