Mateus Beckmann – Flatland & Street 2015

Mateus Beckmann continues to go hard in the flatland/street direction his riding has been going the last year or so. Incredible ledge combos, personally love the xft whiplash stomped to foot jam decade at 2:25, not to mention so many fresh whopper variations both of the flat and on the streets. I would go so far as saying this guy is at the cutting edge in our sport in terms of flatlanders riding street, great to see!

When I was at Bike Days in Switzerland one month ago I was invited to also to judge Round 2 of the 2015 World Circuit in Barcelona. BCN is one of my favourite cities in the world, that hold many memories from when I competed in the Euro XGames and so on so it’s pretty much a no brainer for me. The flight from London is also only one hour 45 minutes so it’s nothing at all. And even better it was my girlfriends birthday on the Wednesday, so we stayed a lil’ extra few days and made a holiday out of it after the contest.

Keelan Phillips – Paint / A Never Seen Before Film

The title is pretty bold from Sony, as I have seen Terry Adams do this kind of project a few years back for Odyssey. But nevertheless this is a good watch if you are into the artistic side of flatland and the possibilities. The official description reads:

“A BMX bike becomes an unlikely paintbrush in this film by Director Greg Hackett. Paint capsules attached to the wheels of a BMX bike feed paint onto a dark space while a rider turns and spins on top of it. The natural movement of the bike’s wheels emphasis the beautiful patterns that the rider creates.
With Action Cams by Sony attached to every imaginable angle, we find ourselves watching an extreme-sports video that results in a work of art.”

It has been a while since I saw any new footage of Erin Donato, really stoked to see this new 2015 flatland edit put together at an undisclosed location in New Jersey by Louis Orth with additional filming by Chris Fricke. Erin is legendary in the flatland scene, so much skill, show her some love! This edit is definitely worth a watch!
