Congratulations to Jean William Prevost who held onto the top spot from qualifying in the EFise Pro Men’s Class to take a welldeserved win. Dub was followed by 16 year old sensation, Yu Katagiri from Japan, and Alex Jumelin took the third place podium spot with an amazing entry. With everyone throwing flawless runs, this was an absolute treat for us to watch and get motivated by. Respect to all the riders throwing down in the Pro Class and all the Classes!
Congratulations to Erin Fricke from the USA, who is on a roll fresh off her Master of Creativity win, and now winning the EFise Pro Women’s class! Erin was followed by the UCI World Champion, Irina Sadovnik and Autum Bikes very own, Julia Preuss. Once again, level up in this class, so good to see the progress the Women’s Class is making.
Congratulations to Minato Sato from Japan who won the Efise AM Men’s Class, followed by Miguel Angel Guzman from Mexico, and Isai Orbe also from Mexico. Proper international field in the Amateur Men’s Class and great riding level to boot!
Congratulations to Melissa Droll who took the win in the EFise AM Women Class, followed by Sudavich Sudarat from Thailand and Andre-Benoit Eva in the third place podium spot. Great to see the level going up at each event.
Rider and film-maker Mark Locke (the guy behind the A Bike For Che film) has a started a little flat merch brand called FlatBastard, which made us smile a lot.
Mark: ‘It started out as a bit of a joke, but then when I thought more about it I realised it sums it up perfectly: the bastard sons and daughters of BMX, kind of illegitimate and somehow less worthy. But the irony is that even the simplest flat takes so much hard work and perseverance. Usually alone in a car park, hence the ‘BMX Billy Nomates’ slogan with the first tee. The slogan’s obviously a bit tongue in cheek too as we’re perceived that way but there’s actually this amazing network of support. We’re a tribe of Bastards, of all levels, from novice to killing it, dotted all over the globe.’
For now it’s just tees and stickers but other tee designs are planned and possibly also beanies, socks and hoods. All tees are screen printed and then heat pressed for smoothness onto 100% cotton shirts.
Like flatland it’s small, but perfectly formed, and all about the details.

Kio Hayakawa took third place at the 2020 Japanese National Championships this past weekend. This kid is absolutely amazing, enjoy his qualifying and his finals run right here.
