For this week’s Throwback I go back to 2003 and this amazing inTRIKat Land Escape: B (United Soil) segment that features Aaron Frost, Pete Brandt, Ed Nassbaum, Brandon Fenton, Stephan Cerra, Viki Gomez, Martti Kuoppa, and Simon O’Brien! This is still to this day, so good. Don’t sleep on this!
…had been Watching these like literally Days ago! Glad to see it popping up again on ere.
Never seen this till now so sick I love this
To this day, Viki’s section from Landescape A is still one of my favourite sections of all time. The sheer variety and difficulty of the tricks that he dropped in that section felt like it just unlocked everything that flatland could be: broken rhythms, rolling, jumping, power kick/scuffs, pivots, boomerangs, x-footed and regular, kickflips, it just has it all and really shows a full arsenal off mastery. Don’t get me wrong, I like a lot of the rolling stuff that people do today too but man, Viki’s riding from this era is just something to behold (I know that this is Landescape B–hence, this is the B-side and totally badass as well).
That section you are talking about Brandon was hugely influential to what goes on today. Chad Johnston also deserves a lot of respect for all he did to showcase these guys.
No doubt, Chad carried us all with these videos for many years. Hall of Fame’r for sure.
Best Flatland era. I love all intrikat videos and solo edits. Some of my favourites Nathan,Chad and Simon part in Mixt.Viki part in landescape.Martti part in background and infinite pieces.Phil part in infinite pieces. Thank you Chad and Al the riders for pushing creative riding back then.
