Our long time friend Seiji Sakata who Wowed the world with a dynamic no-break riding style from 2002 to 2006, was recently diagnosed with liver cancer..
When he went to see a doctor for the first time, the cancer was already as big as 2/3 of his liver and told that the chance of survival was only low%..
Obviously low% chance of survival was a very devastating news to him but he is fighting his battle right now!
When you talk about a difficult situation with Seiji, he always had a way to find a breakthrough and won many contests in the past so I’m sure he can overcome this life threatening challenge against him with a support of fellow riders and friends.
I’m not talking about a miracle but I’m believing in his strength!
So what I would like to ask all of you international friends, is to send him a message to tell him that he is not alone.

Following yesterdays Hiroya Morizaki vs Sam Foakes KOG post from 2008, Hirokazu Miura’s name came up in a comment from Yoshi. The first 2:20 is full of some of the most stylish pivots from one of the most stylish cats to ever ride flatland, Miura is a legend. Does anyone know if he still rides? Any recent footage anyone? I thought I saw some footage around a year ago, I will have to dig around when I have some more time.
Benjamin Hudson and Matthias Dandois teach you how to spinning dump truck in episode 20 of the Can you make it series. For me this is the original peg time machine, and a spinning dump truck is subtly different, holding the fork and the bars are turned and spinning one handed in a caboose position, body weight more forward. But the tricks and techniques shown here are very similar. Enjoy this one, great to see the series back! Good work Matthias and Benjamin.
Hard to believe this Hiroya Morizaki vs Sam Foakes went down in 2008, great memories making the trip out to Tokyo for the KIng of Ground contest and watching this unfold. Well worth a rewatch, if you haven’t see this before.
