Some nice progression out of Tamás Varga from Hungary, smooth as you like turbine whiplash at the 1:03 mark. Thanks for sharing Tamás!
BSD Steel Rods 1992
Pure gold from the BMX archives with great flatland footage from 1992 from the King of Concrete, Rider Cup and various UKBFA contests (Mansfield, etc) featuring the likes of Chase Gouin, Dylan Worsley, James White, (yours truly) Effraim Catlow, Amos Burke, and many more. Worth a watch, straight up BMX!
Japan National Championships
This one is kind of hard to watch, as the footage focuses on three riders at the same time, Moto Sasaki ended up taking the Japanese National Championships in Okayama.
Flat Snitches: Episode 2 / The Gadget Whip
What a response, we got from the first episode of FlatSnitches. Myself and Pete are super stoked and humbled by all the feedback. FS is a labour of love dedicated to being an educational resource on the history of trick inventions for flatlanders spanning across all generations of our artform.
What we realised after the first episode is that these are episodes that can be updated as useful information (“art of facts as Pete calls it) comes forward. This wasn’t something we considered when we started FS.
We had numerous riders, for example reach out with further information about Jesse Puente doing the Plasticman after we published the first article. Articles can be updated much like tricks are, you get a refresh every so often and learn more about tricks you love to do on the daily.

Nick Watts – October 25th 2019
Like clock work, it’s Friday and a fresh Nick Watts edit to get your teeth into from his sessions in his backyard riding spot. Some nice variations experimenting with switch foot mega spin half whopper to fire hydrant, Nick rules!
Flatland Immersion Podcast with Misato Ito

Misato rips on a bike, whether training his students at his flat school in Japan, practicing at his spot, or on the big stages of the Fise World Series. Not only does he throw down some of the craziest and lines on his bike, but he is one of the most chilled riders on the circuit. Dusty Tweedhope catches up with Mr Ito, really enjoyed this chat with Misato!

Tyler Gilliard – New Jump
Tyler Gilliard hit me yesterday with a new one that I haven’t seen before. Short and sweet clip over his new jump to cliffhanger at his indoor riding spot in Florida. Keep it up Tyler, dope!
Space Brothers Podcast – Dizz Hicks

Episode 41 of the Space Brothers Podcast is a belter! Kip Williamson and Chip Riggs catch up with the king of the wedge ramp, Dizz Hicks! If your into the history of BMX, you don’t want to miss this one!
Kip’s description covers all…
“We caught up with Dizz and asked him about his early BMX career, the first time he saw freestyle, building his first wedge ramp, riding for the Gork Trick Team, his heavy metal persona, creating upside down flatland tricks, riding and partying on the CW summer tours, vanishing from the sport, dealing with addiction, getting back on his BMX bike in 2009 for an art show, getting inducted into the BMX Hall Of Fame, and what he’s doing now. The fact is, there’s never been another rider like Dizz in BMX…. and there probably never will be! So get comfortable, crank up your speakers, and get to know the man, the myth, the BMX legend, King of the short ramp… Dizz Hicks!
Must Watch – Kio Hayakawa / Welcome to Colony BMX
Much like Nick Watts, Kio Hayakawa is on fire! It really is hard to keep up with the instagram updates, his amazing full part on Landscapes 3 and now this amazing Welcome to Colony BMX part!
So many creative bangers in this one from the opening line with a switch foot ice cream pulled into switch foot forward g- roll jump to two footed backyard half turbine jump to pedals that begins at the 00:03 mark! So progressive!
The very next line Kio further develops the two footed backyard jump, now jumping out with the body varial to peg wheelie (00:36) back into an ice cream line. This kid is pushing things hard right now!
The fourth and last line play with a. similar concept, pivot into two footed pedal ice cream ucchie flip to mega spin pivot ice cream pivot blender walk round out! Wow, Kio puts himself right up with fellow Japanese shredders, Yoehi Uchino, the Katagiri brothers and like the Katagiri brothers, so young and the future is so bright. Great pick from Colony to join the team, will he conquer the international contest circuit, only time will tell….
Dez Maarsen – Insta Ammo
Instagram edits seem to be on the rise this year, Dez Maarsen has a huge back of tricks and great depth in front and back wheel riding. The halfhiker 360 pressure flip to halfpacker line at 5:52 is a classic from Dez, this one isa. good watch start to finish!
