Dominik Nekolny took the win at the annual Wheels and Finns contest for the second year in a row, and in turn won both UK Flatland Championship events this year (Manchester back in march). Hit play to check out his winning ride on a tight stage floor, congratulations once again Dom! Big thanks to James White for filming the finals for FM.

Day 2 – Wheels and Finns / UK Flatland Championships
“Ten seconds left, if you want, you got it!” this is stuck in my head after Day 2 of the Wheels and Finns / UK Flatland Championship contest. I blame Matti Hemmings…

Day 1 of the Wheels and Finns today in Joss Bay, Kent for the UK Flatland Championships organised by Matti Hemmings and myself. Matti was already on site a day earlier to check everything was running according to plan. I made the trip over to Broadstairs via London on the train, the weather was not looking too good on route.
John Yull and his Custom Haro Master!

Hot off the presses, here are the first photos of John Yull’s new custom Haro Master that is a remake of what John rode back in 1987 with his own modern custom geometry (you can check the specs and frame photos below!). This looks amazing!

Catching Up With Matti Hemmings
With the UK Flatland Championships taking place next weekend at the Wheels and Finns Festival in Joss Bay, Kent it seemed like the perfect time to drop this.
During BMX Cologne, I caught up with UK Flatland Championship organiser and Professional flatland rider Matti Hemmings to talk about the up and coming Wheels and Finns event on the 9/10th September. As well as that we talk about his daily schedule, holding the world record for a couple of flatland moves, living in Portishead, never practising a routine for contests and the BMX Cologne event. Hope you enjoy this one, leave us a comment and let us know what you think.
** The wind was blowing once again, so turn this one up.
Voodoo Jam 2017: The Scott O’Brien Interview

Interview: Effraim

Voodoo Jam 2017 is just around the corner, there’s not a better time to get in contact with the main man Scott O’Brien over in New Orleans to get some insight on what we can expect this year and talk about all things Voodoo! Read on…
Catching Up with Dave Nourie
At the 2017 BMX Cologne contest I caught up with 80’s Haro Flatland BMX legend Dave Nourie. We talk about his ordeal of getting to Cologne, his new Haro ride, stories from the 80’s Haro tours, his heartfelt responsibility to keep the old school alive in a new school era at contests, and a whole lot more. I even learnt that Dave did not invent the stubble duck which I thought was the case for years, this is a good one. Don’t miss it!
Catching Up with Sebastian Grubinger
During the BMX Cologne contest weekend I caught up with Heresy rider, Sebastian Grubinger to talk about the history of the BMX Cologne. We discuss his first experiences there, his riding spot back in Vienna Austria being made smaller, his opinion on contest areas being a rolling rider, the Heresy brand, his prolific posting on instagram, the importance of the video part and a whole lot more. This was a great catch up with Sebastian, good times in Cologne once again!
Watch the Top 3 from the 2017 iBMXff World Championships!
Watch the top 3 from the 2017 iBMXff World Championships, Matthias Dandois and Alex Jumelin both threw down flawless runs in the Somerset sunshine at the Nass Festival, followed in third by Dominik Nekolny! Congratulations once again to Matthias, Alex and Dom, really good weekend!
It’s the 2017 World Championships this weekend at NASS!
It’s about that time where we start building up to a massive weekend on the contest calendar. The World Championships returns to the UK at the Nass Festival in Shepton Mallet, it seems as good a time as any to re-up my repo from last year. Who’s going to take the title this year? See you there!

Like everyone when the iBMXff World Championships were announced a few months back, I thought “Where the hell is Flatland?”, there were various trains of thoughts from most of the flatland community, but it seemed summed up with “it’s not the worlds without flatland”, emails went back and forth. If I am being honest, I didn’t think Flatland would be included with budgets and all….
