Episode 59: Flatmattersonline Exclusive with Matt Wilhelm

YO!!!

What’s up everyone?
It’s been a minute since a fresh Flatmattersonline exclusive, and today we bring it back in style with one of the best to do it… Hoffman Bikes very own Matt Wilhelm!!
This exclusive kills two birds with one stone so to speak, its been a while since I have seen any Matt Wilhelm footage. Whilst we were judging the AFA Dream run contest , it came up in conversation that Matt was down to film an episode, and today he drops a brand new line that I have never seen before.
Ice Cream turbines on the bottom bracket, and a BB Ice Cream bike flip out in brakeless style that Matt suits completely. Hell yeah!!!

Thank you Matt for contributing, whose got episode 60?

Introducing the new BSD Revolution hub

Whilst BSD is not a flatland brand so to speak, James White and Amos Burke have been using this frames and products for a good while now. Yesterday, BSD launched “the Revolution Hub” and this certainly looks like it would work well for flatland. Official word below…

Introducing the new BSD Revolution hub…

A freecoaster hub that feels like a cassette hub, weighs the same as a cassette hub, has a pedal gap like a cassette hub and sounds like a cassette hub. Using the Planetary clutch system.

Hub features:

• 30% lighter than conventional freecoaster hubs.
• No gap when pedalling forward.
• Eradicates unwanted engagement on rollbacks.
• Feels and sounds like a cassette hub.
• No need for oversized hub bearings due to low axial load.
• Supertough hollow male 14mm chromo axle.
• BSD hubguards included.

Timezones: MK Format

If you need some motivation to start the week, watch this! You will all know by now, Martti Kuoppa has built a coaching programme from the ground up, and this edit features the riders benefiting from his regime.

Here’s the word from the boss himself:

“When I started MK Format online coaching a couple of years ago I had no idea how amazing it will be to work with all these dedicated riders all over the world and to be part of their progression journey. Feeling truly blessed to be in a position to share my knowledge about riding with each one of them.

I am very excited to present this “Timezones” -edit today with Pakphum Poosa-Art “Toon”, Joe Cicman, Oleg Efimov, Varo Hernandez, myself, Irina Sadovnik, Masato Ito and Terry Adams. One combo from each rider.”
