Old School Sundays with Dave Mirra

I’m sure it will come as no surprise to you that this weeks OSS is dedicated to Dave Mirra who sadly passed away on February 4th 2016. Since a young age it was obvious to everyone that Dave was destined to be one of the greatest ever to grace a BMX bike. Watch this winning ride Dave threw down in 14 Expert at the 1988 AFA Masters in Wayne, New Jersey. So much control and natural ability.

Forever in our hearts, rest in peace Dave.

Hidenori Ishizaki 2016

Upon hearing the tragic news of BMX icon, Dave Mirra passing away it was hard enough to post the news on the site. Let alone anything else, it felt the right thing to do to give the community time to reflect on such an amazing man and character.

I still pretty numb about the news, Hidenori Ishizaki sent in this awesome new “2016” edit that cheered me up some and perhaps will do the same to you! Hidenori kills the forwards two footed back yard game, definitely give this one a watch when you feel like it!

Throwback Thursdays with James White

It’s a quiet day at the moment at FM HQ! Let’s go back to April 2009, when James White dropped this “How-to Pinky Squeak” edit with some amazing forward death truck walk arounds and regular death truck walkarounds in this, it’s definitely worth a watch!
All on the lightest flatland bike I think I have ever picked up, in related news: Myself and James will be working on a podcast in March to discuss his editorial winning edit, and of course a long overdue interview with the godfather! Stay tuned here on FM!

Thanks to Joe Cicman for putting together this hype edit for the event organised by the Canadian Freestyle Organisation, this year the event had a rebrand and is now called Maple Vibes. Jean William Prevost has taken the win in Toronto three years in a row, can he make it a 4peat?
